Hydrock, has been awarded the highest rating in a national scheme which rewards good employment practices and workplace engagement as and is one of only 42 companies nationwide to receive the 3-star rating in the Best Companies Accreditation Scheme 2007.
This year, 434 organisations registered to go for 'Star Status', and since September over 100,000 employees from these organisations have been surveyed. In total 273 organisations achieved 'Star Status' success;
The Accreditation is based on a star rating system where one star is first class, two stars are outstanding, and three stars are extraordinary. Organisational successes have been defined using data from the 2007 Best Companies to Work For survey which involved surveying over 100,000 employees from 434 companies. The Best Companies survey is designed to measure employee engagement and uses 70 questions to gain a comprehensive view of employee engagement across eight factors.
Dr Brian McConnell, Hydrock's Managing Director, who received the award on behalf of Hydrock at a prestigious lunch at the Berkeley hotel in Knightsbridge, London, has always been an advocate of putting people at the heart of the business and working together for the common good. "It's great to get the recognition for what we have done, but to me the most important thing is that our employees are telling the world that they truly believe in our company. That's a powerful message which will help us to recruit the highest calibre staff possible and to continue to grow our business successfully."
