Extraction Industries
As one of the oldest industries in the world, the result of mineral extraction over several centuries has created challenges and opportunities for many of our clients who either operate extraction businesses or have to deal with the consequences of the industry.
Our extensive experience of coal, stone, oil, gas, gold, and chalk extraction has meant that we have been able to provide expert advice to clients in this sector focused on significant current issues including the development of new and existing facilities, managing potential issues arising from historic works and developing strategies to ensure that worked-out pits are successfully regenerated.
In anticipation of new regulations under the Mining Waste Directive (2008), Hydrock has been working with clients on preparing submissions to comply with the directive which regulates disposal of mining waste at active mines and quarries to protect human health and safety and the environment.

"Hydrock's innovative approach to providing solutions has enabled Imerys to achieve significant cost savings. Extensive liaison during the design stage has helped produce 'right first time' results."
John Vine, Mineral Planning Manager, Imerys Minerals.
