Our geotechnical specialists work to ensure that any brownfield development minimises disposal to landfill, maximises re-use of arisings and site-won materials and uses the least intrusive and impacting remediation methodologies. Two of Hydrock's projects were selected by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) as part of their 'Halving Waste to Landfill' initiative as best practice examples for a document entitled 'Resource Efficient Remediation' which outlines how savings can be achieved through remediation and onsite reuse of contaminated material. Hydrock is a member and sponsor of CL:AIRE, an independent organisation that promotes sustainable remediation and worked with CL:AIRE to develop their 'Definition of Waste' Code of Practice.
