Project: Radon Remediation at Foxhill, Bath
Site Description: An NRPB report showed Radon concentrations at up to five times guideline levels at the MoD Warship Support Agency Site in Bath.
Services Provided: Contamination investigation, remediation design, specialist contracting services.
Outcome: Traditional remediation would have involved evacuation of the building, removal of the floor slab and the installation of an extraction system. Hydrock designed and installed a vacuum extraction system which enabled the offices and workers within them to carry on working without disruption and which caused minimal impact to the building.
