The Sustainable Communities Plan in 2003 and Government backed initiatives such as the Pathfinder Renewal Scheme have put urban renewal at the top of the agenda in many regions. Dealing with land quality issues at the earliest stage in these areas is a critical first step. Hydrock has been actively involved in providing specialist services, through our framework agreements with English Partnerships and to key delivery partners at the local, sub-regional and regional level including local businesses, voluntary and community sectors. Hydrock's communication with all stakeholders and sensitive management of the community issues involved in such projects has been commended.
Working equally with private sector partners where land is acquired for redevelopment, Hydrock has been involved in major regeneration schemes, providing a full range of consultancy and specialist contracting services from initial site investigation, through to contamination remediation and provision of building structures and infrastructure design.

"Mr Cooper provided excellent support to us during a number of challenging residents meetings. He was particularly helpful in explaining the difficult ideas around risk communication. He was able to communicate with the affected residents in clear simple non-technical terms that I reel provided the necessary reassurance. His involvement had a significant impact on the successful management of the project and maintaining good stakeholder relations."
Stuart Proudlock, Land Quality Programme Manager, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.
