Remediation Scientist/Engineer

An experienced Environmental Scientist/Engineer is sought to work on contaminated land remediation projects throughout UK. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will have responsibility for handling the front line delivery of a range of in-situ and ex-situ remediation contracts, often incorporating innovative approaches and technologies.

The role will incorporate a mix of office based working and site based working. You will need the flexibility and problem solving skills to effectively manage site work, collect and organise monitoring data and liaise with clients and subcontractors. You will also have a key role in the planning, coordination and reporting of remediation projects.

A minimum of two years experience in the contaminated land industry is desirable. A good relevant science or engineering qualification and a background in contaminated land investigation, or particularly remediation contacting are highly beneficial. Excellent analytical and technical writing skills are important but above all else a good attitude is the most important attribute. You will also be experienced in working to high standards of health and safety.

You would be joining an award-winning, specialist employer with a strong client base and an excellent reputation for the delivery of challenging work, on time and on budget, in the area of contaminated site remediation. Projects undertaken can range from £40k to more than £3m and involve a range of techniques for in-situ remediation.

Remediation Project Managers

We need experienced Remediation Project Managers for Hydrock's growing Remediation Contracting business, based at our Northampton, Bristol or Woking offices. You will be managing soil and groundwater remediation projects nationally for a wide range of clients on major UK regeneration schemes, utility projects as well as residential and commercial development. Works include excavation & reuse, in situ and ex situ treatment of soils and groundwaters and encompass a range of technologies. You will work alongside the site teams and remediation engineers to ensure that project objectives are met.

We are looking for candidates with at least five years relevant experience, ideally with another leading remediation contractor. Relevant experience can include; Remediation Options Appraisal; Remediation Works Planning design; Site Engineering or Project Management.

The successful applicant will be a confident a team player and show strong commitment to Quality and Health & Safety. Flexibility in location and willingness to travel (with a clean driving licence) and a commitment to client care, health & safety and efficient operations will be rewarded by significant project exposure and career opportunities.
