Alexandra Edwards Associate, Land Quality

Alex leads our land quality and geotechnical team in Cardiff, and has nearly 20 years’ experience in the site investigation and contaminated land assessment industry.

With a background as an environmental geologist, Alex leads her team in a wide range of projects including pre-planning support, brownfield site development, geotechnical design, school site expansions and Environmental Impact Assessment. She has particular expertise in due diligence assessments, problem/site conceptualisation, development of remedial strategies/targets, qualitative and quantitative human health, groundwater and ground gas risk assessment.

She has extensive experience in the residential sector, along with commercial and has recently worked on high-profile projects in South Wales including Cardiff University Maths and Computer Science Building, the Taff Vale redevelopment scheme and HMS Cambria, the new Royal Navy training facility in Cardiff Bay. 

Alex is a Fellow of the Geological Society, a member of the Environmental Industries Commission and a representative on the Contaminated Land Working Group.
