Based in Manchester and working with clients across the north-west, Ian has over 30 years of nuclear industry experience in the UK and internationally.
A civil engineer by background, Ian has particular experience in the decommissioning sector. He specialises in project management, project recovery and dispute resolution with respect to decommissioning programmes. He also specialises in delivering commercial and strategic business management advice to organisations, specifically SMEs, seeking to enter the nuclear sector and offer their highly specialist skills to this industry. Ian has a track record of advising and supporting new entrants and SMEs on who to collaborate with and how to win competitive tenders.
Ian has worked in the UK, French, German and North American nuclear markets and has a strong network across north-west England in the nuclear community. He joined Hydrock in 2019 having previously held positions as a Board Member and Deputy Managing Director in a consulting business specialising in the nuclear sector. Ian has extensive experience of leading and managing major framework programmes focused on strategies and facilities for waste management and encapsulation.
