Jason leads Hydrock’s delivery of fire safety and fire engineering in the high hazard sector.
His wealth of knowledge, skills and experience is exemplified by his position in two leading industry bodies. Jason chairs the Institution of Fire Engineers Special Interest Group, Industrial Fire & Risk. He is also the former Chair of the Nuclear Industry Fire Safety Co-ordinating Committee and remains an active member of this body which has an international reach. The latter is a forum that gives licensees an opportunity to discuss how to continue to improve fire safety and fire engineering in the sector given the long-term requirements from new build, decommissioning and the eventual restoration of sites to brownfield use.
As a chartered engineer, Jason’s career track record includes his role as senior fire engineer for Horizon Nuclear Power where he was responsible for supporting the civil engineering in the development of fire safety programmes on a number of new nuclear power stations. He has also advised the NEC in Birmingham and was the Fire Protection and Life Safety Director for Sherwin-Williams Paints across the EMEA region.
