Based in Birmingham, Jon works on a broad and diverse range of
projects across the UK with particular focus on the residential,
commercial, education and public sectors.
He joined Hydrock in 2012 and in his 20 year career he has been involved in several large and complex projects encompassing both new build and refurbishment. His career history includes the award winning Grade II listed Wallis House in London, the GWQ Development in Brentford, Birmingham City Council’s new offices in Aston, and most recently with Hydrock, the iconic first phase of the Manchester Life development.
Jon is a strong advocate of encouraging excellence in structural engineering design amongst early-career professionals. He has run a course for the Institution of Structural Engineers helping to prepare students for their Chartered examinations, and he is now a Chief Examiner. He has led courses on Eurocodes and Finite Element software, and is a committee member for the Institution’s Midland Counties branch.
