Jon is a Chartered Health and Safety Director who delivers the day to day running and advancement of health and safety within Hydrock.
He has 14 years’ health and safety experience in the construction and civil engineering sectors and specialises in producing tailored Health and Safety Management systems to OHSAS18001 accreditation standard. Within Hydrock, Jon has introduced bespoke new management systems across all business divisions.
Jon also devised Hydrock’s Safe People, Safe Site, Safe Home initiative which encourages health and safety to be second nature to our people, ensuring that each and every person is properly briefed, supervised and completely understands how to carry out their tasks safely, correctly and efficiently. It also ensures they have the best equipment, resources and support to aid their works and get them home safely at the end of each day. This approach has resulted in the outstanding achievement of an accident free period that exceeds 3.5 million man hours (January 2018) without a reportable accident as defined by RIDDOR.
He has been instrumental in Hydrock’s consistent year-on-year achievement of health and safety award success, including 15 RoSPA Gold Awards – four in 2017 plus a Gold Medal for achieving Gold Awards for five consecutive years.
