Mark is a Chartered transport planner with over 18 years’ experience. Based in our Camborne office, he leads Hydrock’s transportation team on projects throughout Cornwall and Devon, and also leads the work of our micro-simulation team across the UK.
Mark is experienced in managing and delivering projects across all forms of development with a focus on large scale mixed-use schemes, retail, regeneration and educational sites. With Hydrock, his track record includes extensive transport assessments for Maiden Green, a mixed-use development comprising 650 residential units, a supermarket, primary school and employment space; a strategic transport management plan for the Minack Theatre; and, securing planning consent for a £75m redevelopment of Noss-on-Dart Marina.
Mark advises clients in both the public and private sectors, predominantly on the transport implications of new development and his experience includes the preparation of transport assessments and travel plans in support of planning applications.
He leads the work of our micro-simulation modelling team, who support strategic transport planning initiatives through the use of VISSIM and Viswalk, and he also advises clients on current transport and planning policies as well as Section 38 and 278 works, highway design and public transport schemes.
Mark has represented clients at meetings with local highway and planning authorities at all levels, attended public consultations and has prepared evidence at planning hearings and inquiries.
