Matt joined Hydrock in October 2015 and now leads the structural engineering team in Cardiff.
He has a wide range of experience in the design, development and construction of a variety of structures, from mixed-use residential, office and leisure developments to marine structures, heritage assets, healthcare and education facilities.
Matt is committed to delivering structural engineering solutions, tailored to a range of factors including cost, aesthetics, time, construction practicalities and client need. He is well-versed in the design of steel, timber, concrete, masonry, aluminium, glass and tensile fabric structures, and utilities his keen interest in all aspects of construction: such as sustainability, building services and architecture, in a dynamic and collaborative approach to engineering.
He has particular experience in education projects - from small refurbishments to multi-site building programs - and in the repair, restoration and modernisation of historic buildings and structures that require a sympathetic approach, combining traditional and modern structural design.
Matt has been involved with our projects at Taff Vale in Pontypridd, HMS Cambria in Cardiff Bay and the new all-through schools in Porth and Tonypandy as part of the Welsh Government 21st Century School Investment Programme.
