Ric leads the delivery of acoustic engineering services as part of our UK-wide Building Performance Engineering business. He also manages the delivery of our pre-planning services, which range from air quality, sustainability and energy statements, to utilities and waste management.
As a member of the Institute of Acoustics, with 10 years’ experience in the delivery of acoustic services, Ric has led the delivery of acoustic engineering services on projects across a range of sectors including education, residential, retail, leisure and healthcare.
Ric’s in-depth technical knowledge and solution-based attitude helps clients to achieve planning and quality standards on their projects. His expertise in a range of acoustic specific software allows Hydrock to integrate acoustic data into Revit models; the next step to delivering a complete package on BIM projects.
In 2018, Ric commented on the tensions that the 'Agent of Change' principle within the revised NPPF has brought, specifically between nightclubs and proposed new housing developments - watch Ric here.
Ric's team has contributed both noise and acoustic studies and modelling on a range of schemes that include UK Hydrographic Office, The Wave, Victoria House in Manchester, Mersey Reach in Liverpool and UWE's new Faculty of Engineering building.
