Early Careers Co-ordinator
Hydrock, now Stantec, are passionate about fostering the growth of future talent, so we have an exciting opportunity for an Early Careers Coordinator to join our Talent Acquisition team in Leeds.
Early Careers sits within the Talent Acquisition team to attract talented future engineers and consultants into the company, as well as support colleagues within their Early Careers requirements. The team works closely with other People functions to deliver a proactive and efficient early careers service. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Partner – Early Careers, you will work collaboratively across the team to deliver the Early Careers strategy across the UK, including recruitment attraction and selection, career progression and development interventions, to ensure a strong cohort of newly qualified colleagues starting their career journey with Hydrock, now Stantec.
Your Role
As an Early Careers Coordinator your day-to-day remit includes:
- Delivering a high-quality recruitment support for Apprentices and other Early Careers Programmes against a set of agreed KPIs (for example direct sourcing, cost and time to hire)
- Support the design and implement creative apprentice and graduate recruitment advertising and attraction campaigns and an appropriate assessment process.
- Support the design, planning and running of multiple school outreach activity, assessment processes, work experience events, insight days and engagement activities related to graduate and apprenticeship activity.
- Manage and develop third party outreach provider and school relationships.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to source, attract and hire graduate applicants across a diverse background to support our EDI agenda in a competitive market
- Complete offer, decline and feedback processes with candidates and ensure contract documentation is requested and dispatched in a timely fashion
- Work with others in Talent Acquisition and people teams to ensure new hires experience a smooth, seamless pre boarding and on-boarding experience and support in their learning and progress reporting as appropriate
- Maintain core sets of data, documents and reports to support the Early Careers Talent Acquisition Partner in their work, including ensuring recruitment and development data is updated in a timely and accurate fashion, and collating benchmarking and other data requests at key times of the year.
- Act as a technical expert on all aspects of Apprenticeship administration including training provider registration and qualification processes, experience requirements when training and other technical matters
- Responsible for internal and external comms relating to apprenticeships including social media, internal intranet and website
Your Skills and Experience
- A proven track record of working with or recruiting apprentices and / or graduates
- You must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of working effectively with senior stakeholders, and have strong stakeholder management skills
- Experienced at sourcing and approaching suitable future talent candidates through schools, outreach providers, universities, events.
- Highly organised, with the ability to plan, manage and deliver the full apprentice or graduate recruitment life-cycle in line with the ambitions of the Hydrock, now Stantec brand and experience.
- Very resilient, a self-starter with drive and passion for apprenticeships.
- Willingness to travel nationally for assessments and events
- Engaging, able to collaborate and bring colleagues on board with events where required.
- Confident presenting / hosting an event essential.
- Creative mind to constantly seek new ways to attract students including use of social media and new technology.
- Be able to demonstrate high performance against KPIs in previous roles.
- Experienced in the use of an ATS to manage vacancies and candidates preferred
