Opportunity for a Senior (or Principal) Acoustic Consultant to join our growing team in Manchester, working from our modern central office, just off Albert Square (M2 4DN).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to play a part in shaping Hydrock’s Acoustics business, with the support of some great people and a very capable and successful, independently owned company. You will be working within a growing successful multi-disciplinary consultancy and operating across a matrix of projects.

Job requirements:

  • A degree or post graduate diploma in Acoustics (or related discipline)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the acoustics industry
  • Holds a full clean UK Driving Licence 
  • A strong technical background, experienced in both building and environmental Acoustics
  • Acoustic software experience (ODEON, INSUL Soundplan, CadnaA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A real team player who is collaborative with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable with a mixture of office and home working (3 days in the office and 2 from home in line with Hydrock’s Hybrid working policy).
  • Someone who is positive, motivated and ambitious 
  • Member of Institute of Acoustics (MIOA)
  • Capable of undertaking and managing client meetings, as well as delivering and managing a variety of different projects
  • Comfortable and capable training and guiding more junior members in the team
