Hydrock has a long association with Taunton in Somerset and in 2019 confirmed a corporate partnership role with Arts Taunton which included taking an active role in ‘Building it Beautifully’, a charrette held in association with RIBA Somerset and Somerset West and Taunton Council.

Our national lead for our transport planning business, James McKechnie, is both a resident of Taunton and is based in our Taunton office. In addition to a transport planning team who deliver transport assessments and travel plans, our office in Taunton also includes members of our programme delivery team and James Macfarlane who leads our asbestos consultancy business in the UK.

Within Taunton and Somerset, our track record includes the new UK Hydrographic Office, Hinkley Point C, Coal Orchard, Langford Mills residential development and the National College for Nuclear.
