As both the structural and building services engineer for Aurora, an 8,825 sq m, BREEAM Outstanding office development in Bristol city centre, we were delighted to be featured in an article published in Construction Manager that assessed the design philosophy behind this development.
Construction Manager is the publication for members of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). In a wide-ranging interview with Willmott Dixon, currently on site constructing Aurora, and Gavin Bridge, Director at Cubex, the developers, the publication details how Aurora is pushing the envelope environmentally, focusing on design, efficiency and the wellbeing of its future occupants.
Dave Berry, Technical Director in our structural engineering business, is quoted in the article with respect to the way we approached some of the structural design challenges.
Aurora is the first BREEAM Outstanding building outside of London and is part of the Finzels Reach mixed-use development in Bristol city centre.
