With over 15 years’ experience in the building services sector, Dilon has a strong profile in the property and construction sector in Manchester and the north-west. He joins Hydrock from Patrick Parsons (previously Beverley Clifton Morris), and prior to that worked for a substantial amount of his career with Cundall.
Working alongside Rich McWilliam, who set-up and established our BPE offering in Manchester in 2015, Dilon will help to continue to develop and grow our offering in the north-west.
Speaking about Dilon’s appointment, Henry Easterbrook, divisional director for BPE, said: “Dilon is a fantastic addition to our business. His drive and energy, and his outstanding reputation for delivery and empathy with clients is exactly what we want from our building performance engineering team. There is a real synergy between his approach and our ethos in terms of our focus on people and the importance we place on culture.
Under Rich McWilliam, we’ve established our presence in Manchester, and with the addition of Dilon to our team this will help us to grow our business still further across the north-west and further afield in northern England, offering the commercially-focused, dynamic support and direction we are known for.”
Commenting about his approach to building services design, Dilon said: “Buildings are about people. Personally, I enjoy engaging with people, and I want a nice environment to meet, to work and to socialise in with people. So, in terms of the performance of buildings, it’s about getting the energy performance and the overall design right. It’s simple things, but my philosophy is about early engagement to influence the design, really getting to know my clients, developing integrated design solutions with the whole design team, and identifying how to bring value to the design process.
I was excited to hear that Hydrock’s BPE team shared a similar philosophy and approach, and I’m really fired up about what we can achieve together in the north-west market.”
Dilon has been responsible for the design and implementation of a diverse range of projects from inception to commissioning and handover, including hotels, retail centres, offices, utility infrastructure, and residential and mixed-use developments. He also has extensive experience of education building design including the ESFA framework, college and university facilities.
