Kevin McKeown joins Hydrock to lead fire engineering capability

6th Feb 2017

Hydrock is delighted to welcome Kevin McKeown as Principal Fire Engineer within our Building Performance Engineering business.

Kevin, joining from Waterman Group, will lead Hydrock’s fire safety engineering offering and brings significant experience in fire strategy, technical safety and compliance.

In a heavily regulated, safety-critical industry, Kevin’s expertise lies in delivering a pragmatic service that reduces the complexity of fire strategy for our clients. From influencing design at concept stage, to offering advice throughout construction and into post occupancy, delivery will focus on meeting the functional and regulatory requirements of a building whilst prioritising the architectural aspirations of the project.

With an in-depth project management background, he is able to deliver commercial expertise and programme management to complex projects of varying scales, incorporating his extensive understanding of the regulations, standards and codes which govern fire engineering in the built environment.

Director of our national Building Performance Engineering business, Henry Easterbrook, comments “Kevin’s appointment signifies the final piece of the jigsaw which completes the full range of services that Building Performance Engineering encapsulates. We’re now offering our clients collective expertise that is unrivalled in the marketplace – from air quality to acoustics, our combined skillset is proving increasingly valuable.”
