Top 10 in Q1 Best Large Companies to Work for Survey

22nd February, 2022

For an eighth consecutive year, Hydrock has been recognised in the Best Large Companies to Work For study, rising to ninth place in the latest listings.

Based on an independent survey of our staff in the final quarter of 2021, we have secured a three-star accreditation in the nationally recognised scheme run by Best Companies. Their initiative assesses workplace engagement and measures it against their rigorous Best Companies Index score. The measurement criteria covers factors such as leadership, wellbeing and personal growth.

Best Companies have evolved their reporting approach to enable organisations to take part on a quarterly basis as many times as they choose with a final league table also revealed in November 2022. Taking part in the first of these surveys, Hydrock is proud to have secured a ranking in the top 10 for companies employing between 200 and 1,999 people.

Speaking about the result, Hydrock’s People Director, Alex Wraith said: “The wellbeing of our people is at the heart of our culture, which is why we invest in experiences to bring people together, and offer them a learning, supportive and respectful workplace environment. This is a fantastic result for us and reflects our focus on being a force for good in everything we do to benefit communities, our environment and our people.”

Highlights from the survey included 94% of staff at Hydrock agreeing with the statement, ‘my team is fun to work with’, and 85% agreeing with the statement, ‘this job is good for my own personal growth.’ Behind Clarion Solicitors, this result also confirmed Hydrock as the second-ranked consultancy practice in the survey.
