Andrew James

Andrew has worked in the land quality and ground engineering industry since 2007, predominantly within the property, commercial and energy sectors. He is a Chartered Geologist and a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.

Based in our Southampton office, Andrew is an Associate Director who specialises in contaminated land and geotechnical assessment. Having undertaken all elements of project delivery for much of his career, he leads the delivery of our geo-environmental and geotechnical expertise on the south coast.

He has worked with many of the major housing developers and predominantly gets involved with due diligence projects at the pre-planning stage, providing support through to design, construction and post completion. Andrew likes to work closely with clients and frequently liaises with regulators on their behalf, including Local Authorities, NHBC and the Environment Agency.

With a passion for the natural environment, Andrew is driven to understand the underlying processes at a site and establish pragmatic solutions to ongoing challenges.

Andrew is an active member of the Southampton business community and acts as joint project secretary on the committee for the Solent Regional Group of the Geological Society.
