Based in Leeds, Mark has over 30 years’ experience in the construction sector having trained as a building services engineer.

Mark is qualified and registered as a CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant, having been one of the first engineers in the UK to qualify as a low carbon consultant in 2006. He is a key member of our team advising clients on both the design and operation of commercial buildings to the highest energy efficiency standards plus ensuring compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations and planning stage energy targets.

With very specific expertise in cinemas, Mark’s overall sector experience includes offices, leisure, hotels, retail and multi-storey apartment-led residential schemes.

Mark’s career highlights include two statement office scheme developments in Leeds – Bruntwood’s 3 Sovereign Square, and 33 Wellington Street which is now home to law firm, Walker Morris. He also led the development of St. Hilda’s Priory, a convent and residential care home in Whitby.

Mark was a founding director of MRB Consulting Engineers which was acquired by Hydrock in October 2019.
