Mike Pooley

Highly experienced in utility and building services consultancy, Mike has over 35 years’ experience in engineering consulting, and also with British Aerospace and the Plymouth/ Devonport Dockyard.

Taking schemes from initial feasibility stage, Mike leads his team to ensure that clients receive robust cost plan, utility and programme reports, and then oversees each project from design stage to handover. His sector experience includes major logistics and distribution facilities, city centre redevelopments and major mixed-use and retail developments.

Mike’s career track record includes: Green Park Business Park, Reading; Whitefriars Shopping Centre, Canterbury; 100 Bishopsgate, London; a 1,000-acre multi-purpose redevelopment in Dunfermline; Cribbs Causeway retail development, Bristol; the regeneration of Bracknell town centre; and the redevelopment of St David’s 2 in Cardiff.

Mike is currently working on the infrastructure services design for a major development in Hertfordshire, and a new Strategic Rail Freight Interchange project for Segro in the Home Counties.

Mike had worked for KTA for 35 years before the company’s acquisition by Hydrock in March 2021.
