Phil Holker
Senior Building Physics Engineer, MEP
London
BEng (Hons), MSc, EngTech, IMechE

Phil’s skillset within building performance modelling, environmental design, low carbon building services and HVAC systems extends across a multitude of sectors including commercial, infrastructure, logistics and industrial.
His keen interest in sustainable and environmental building design and passion for the reduction of carbon emissions and the optimisation of energy consumption has formed the foundation of his expertise and knowledge in building physics and passive design. This enables him to unlock the full potential of buildings for his clients.
Phil has received several scholarships and awards, including the Whitworth Scholarship, awarded by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and the Engineering Leaders Scholarship via the Royal Academy of Engineering. In 2022, he was awarded a distinction for his MSc in Environmental Engineering and Design at the Bartlett School of Architecture.
Notable projects include Stanmore College, a Sixth Form college in north London where Phil conducted a daylighting and overheating assessment, ensuring a comfortable environment for learning; Selsdon Way, a residential tower block in London, where Phil investigated energy compliance and overheating performance in current and future climate scenarios; and Point Blank Music College, in London, where Phil was able to test and verify the proposed natural ventilation strategy through the use of building performance modelling.
