Chris Jones joined Hydrock’s BPE team as Technical Director in November 2020, bringing over 30 years’ experience in building services engineering.
With a background in electrical engineering, he has developed a broad understanding of mechanical engineering, sustainability and low carbon design and is a CIBSE registered Chartered Engineer, Low Carbon Consultant and Energy Assessor.
Chris’ works focuses on finding the most appropriate building services solutions for the project, in line with sustainability targets and the overall design vision. He has particular experience of data centres, with in-depth knowledge of recovering rejected heat for reuse in district heating networks, replacement standby generators, fire detection and suppression systems and detailed thermal modelling for cooling and sustainability purposes.
Chris has worked on a range of projects across a significant number of sectors, with experience of leading multidisciplinary design teams on large commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare projects with a value over £600M. His previous clients have included the MoD, NHS, EDF Energy and Bank of America.
