Steve has deep experience in the design and construction of complex schemes in the defence and energy sectors, leading our delivery of structural, civil and MEP services.

Steve is responsible for our delivery of framework agreements with numerous MoD service providers both UK-wide and overseas, along with all direct contracts for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). Having overseen in excess of 400 projects in the defence sector, he has a deep understanding of how to provide a quality design service for all procurement routes utilised by the MoD and an appreciation of their procedures, approval processes, working practices and standards.

Familiar with working in high-security and live environments, Steve has overseen both minor, estate improvement works, and the conceptual and detailed design of multi-million pound new R&D and high security developments.

Steve's career track record includes the Magazine Storage Facility at Porton Down; a new off-site manufactured Innovation Centre at Porton Down; a Large Energetics Enclosure for Dstl at Porton Down; a wide range of infrastructure appraisals on the Falkland Islands; a Remote Enclosure as part of the Helios Infrastructure Project at Porton Down; and the Applied Research Technology Demonstrator Building at Porton Down. Steve was also the Project Director for a new HVDC Convertor Station at Blyth, in Northumberland, as part of the ground-breaking sub-sea power transmission cable connecting the UK and Norway.

Steve is also responsible for the strategic implementation and operation of Hydrock’s Integrated Management System which has gained UKAS accreditation for ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environmental) and ISO 45001 (health and safety) standards.
