Neil is a key member of our transport planning team in the north west of England. He has more than 16 years’ experience in transport planning in both the private and public sector, notably working on high-profile urban regeneration projects and major events.
Neil joined Hydrock directly from his role at Manchester City Council where he was part of the Highways Development Control team. He regularly represented the team at the Planning and Highways Committee, which was established to make decisions on the bigger and more sensitive planning applications.
During a five-year period at Manchester City Council, Neil was involved in consultations covering several critical strategic site projects across the city, including Ancoats, Etihad Campus, First Street and Victoria North.
Neil specialises in the delivery of commercially-focused development advice. His core expertise includes pre-application negotiation, sustainable highways engineering, traffic modelling, active travel and future transport design.
Graduating with a degree in Geography from the University of Manchester, he’s passionate about enabling economic activity, promoting community interactions, shaping towns and cities, and enhancing the quality of life.
Neil is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (MCILT).
