Glasgow

BSc, MCIBSE, MIET

With deep experience of the real estate sector, Paul heads up our MEP consulting team in Scotland, shaping purpose-driven and energy efficient buildings by optimising the performance of their building services systems.

Paul is a director with 25 years’ experience in electrical building services and infrastructure design and construction across various sectors encountered within the built environment. In his journey to date, he’s worked in the UK and internationally in the United Arab Emirates.

Paul has a thorough understanding of a wide range of sectors including performing arts, commercial office, listed buildings, data centres and hospitality.

Alongside our fire safety consultants, Paul has worked with The R&A to develop proposals for its new staff headquarters, located within the St Andrews West development. As the world governing body for professional golf, The R&A has made sustainability a key component of the vision for the new building. Targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating, it will have a range of sustainable features including high levels of insulation, naturally daylight, and highly efficient MEP services with smart building controls.

The building is intended to be the administrative base of The R&A’s worldwide operations located at the Home of Golf in St Andrews, and will bring together the majority of its staff from five existing locations to a modern, sustainable, distinctive, and collaborative working environment.

Other notable projects Paul has supported include supporting Scottish Rugby’s purpose-built BT Murrayfield stadium and several newbuild office developments in Edinburgh, St Andrews and Dundee in 2024.

He considers his international highlight to be delivering MEP services design for a leading real estate developer, Nakheel, on its signature reclamation project within ‘’The World Islands’’ development off the coast of Dubai.

Paul has a BSc in Building Services from Glasgow Caledonian University and is an active member of CIBSE and MIET.
