Leah Holmes Senior Utilities Consultant

Leah is a Senior Consultant with over five years’ experience in the utility industry, primarily focusing on residential and commercial projects in both public and private capacities. She now leads Hydrock’s utilities team within our Smart Energy and Sustainability (SES) division, focusing on client care and business development.

She is experienced in engaging with utility companies, and providing clients with guidance on budgeting for, and designing, the new utility network to service their development, including unlocking sites by overcoming constraints, conflicts and capacity issues.

Leah has strong knowledge of the grid, emerging smart energy technologies and government policies and can therefore provide a holistic approach with an emphasis on futureproofing and commercial strategy.

Examples of projects at Hydrock where Leah has led the utilities strategy include an agri-business park in Cornwall, Weldale Street and London’s Stonebridge redevelopment.

With an unorthodox route into engineering, Leah is also a spokesperson for diversity in the industry, and is an avid member of Women in Property, with two years’ experience on the South West Committee before her relocation to Manchester.
