Hydrock's London Office Relocation: A testament to our growth and progress

26th Jun 2023

We're thrilled to announce a major milestone for our London team - the relocation of our office to a brand-new, state-of-the-art space in Southwark, close to London Bridge station and Borough underground station. This move signifies the remarkable progress we're making in London, growing the Hydrock brand.

We're proud to boast a 100-strong team, offering full multi-disciplinary services that perfectly align with the needs of the London market. Our skills in key areas such as air quality, acoustics, the circular economy, decarbonisation strategies and utilities, sets us apart in the industry and enables us to deliver unique solutions tailored to the specific challenges of the London landscape. It's through our diverse skill set that we have been able to secure significant projects that demonstrate our capabilities and dedication to excellence.

One of our notable projects includes More House showcasing our multi-disciplinary approach. By designing and transforming three linked buildings in a London conservation area into purpose-built student accommodation, we're improving energy efficiency and enhancing the quality of the living space. This project is a testament to our commitment to creating sustainable and student-friendly environments.

Another noteworthy project is 4 Selsdon Way, where we're engaged in the carbon-conscious repurpose and retrofit of a former 1980s office building into over 200 apartments in the prime location of Canary Wharf. This project, which includes the addition of three additional storeys, demonstrates our dedication to innovative and environmentally conscious solutions. Kudos goes to our Bristol structures team, who have been supporting on both this project and More House.

Commenting on the office move, Catriona Tully, London Board sponsor and Chief Commercial Officer said:

The new office will be a catalyst for growth, fostering an environment that supports collaboration and one that we can truly be proud of. It's a testament to the remarkable progress we have made and reflects the bright future that lies ahead for Hydrock in London.

Alan Rowell, director MEP, highlighted the staff-centric design of the new office space, saying:

The new office has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the needs of our team. It will be a comfortable place where they'll be to invite clients and industry colleagues.

Our new office represents an exciting chapter in our journey, reflecting our commitment to growth, collaboration and a people-first approach. It's a space that exemplifies our vision and values, where innovation and excellence will flourish.
