Hydrock's Kieron wins Trainee of the Year at G4C Wales Awards

3rd Oct 2019

Hydrock employee Kieron Coyle was awarded Trainee of the Year at the awards run by Generation for Change; a subsidiary of Constructing Excellence in Wales.

A BIM technician in our Cardiff BPE team, Kieron recently completed his master’s degree while working at Hydrock. He can now add winning this award to his achievements, following his successful nomination by manager Lewis Cullinane.

Lewis commented: “For Kieron to win this award demonstrates the great team ethos and dedication within the Building Performance Engineering team in Cardiff when it comes to nurturing and getting the best out of our people. We give engineers and technicians alike the chance to make a project their own, through innovation and taking responsibility for what they design.”

The awards focus on the industry’s young professionals who have an interest in the Welsh built environment. This win shows the continued success of our presence in Wales over the last few years with both our projects and our investment in people, which is set to continue.

On his win, Kieron said: “It’s been a long journey since my interview with Dave Finley and Lewis Cullinane, who unbeknownst to them just hired Trainee of the Year 2019. Bit surprised but very happy to be recognised for the hard work I’ve put in. I have to give recognition to Lewis, who has mentored me to where I am today, as well as the wider Cardiff BPE team.”

Congratulations again Kieron!
