Hydrock is celebrating another outstanding achievement in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For listings. Hydrock was placed an impressive 40th, a fourth consecutive listing inside the top 40 and the second highest ranked engineering consultancy in the overall list.
The annual ranking is widely acknowledged as the most rigorous and extensive research into employee engagement in the UK. All the scores and ratings that are assessed to compile the lists are based on employee opinions. In total, the survey canvassed the opinions of over 260,000 employees in 799 organisations which were ultimately ranked in four lists: 25 Best Big Companies; 100 Best Companies; 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations; and 100 Best Small Companies.
Commenting on the achievement, Dr Brian McConnell, Hydrock’s Group Managing Director, said: “Being placed within the top 40 companies for a fourth consecutive year is such a proud achievement for us all at Hydrock.
“Given the ranking is based entirely on staff responses, it’s encouraging to see that staff value our working environment and enjoy the experiences they get from our business.”
The citation on Hydrock by Best Companies states that 80% of employees believe their job is good for their personal growth, 81% state they are gaining valuable experience for the future, and 81% state that they are inspired by Brian McConnell’s leadership – 21st among the mid-size organisations in the survey.
