Hydrock joins the team for new residential development in Stevenage

22nd Jul 2020

A multi-disciplinary team from Hydrock has been appointed from RIBA Stage 3 to take forward the detailed design of a new £9m, eight-storey, 64-apartment residential development on Six Hills Way in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

Introduced to the scheme by project and cost management specialists, Abode Consultancy, who are working with our specialist Hydrock MRB team on a scheme in North London for Travelodge, we are now engaged by Westgold Holdings to develop out this brownfield site in Stevenage. Westgold Holdings has recently acquired the site to take forward an existing planning approval.

Working collaboratively with Shoreditch-based architects, CIAO (Creative Ideas & Architecture Office), our specialist Hydrock MRB team will lead the MEP design working alongside our Manchester-based structural engineering team.

In addition, we will be delivering a fire safety strategy and fire engineering design for this residential scheme and our London-based geo-environmental team is delivering a stage two site investigation to inform the detailed design solution.
